savadi are three young women who have found fresh growth from old roots. Fairy tales, adventure novels, Hollywood movies stories in their many guises are a part of the fabric of our cultural identity. In many societies stories are of a religious nature, often the storyteller fulfilling both ritual and religious duties. The three members of savadi met in 2001 while studying early music at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Switzerland. They have successfully created a baroque ensemble which critics have described as "moving and enchanting", winning 1st prizes at the 2003 Early Music Network Competition and the Van Wassenaer Concours in 2004.
